EuroLeague: High-flying Fenerbahce to face Maccabi FOX

Istanbul club looks to maintain winning form and stay in playoff contention

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish basketball team Fenerbahce Beko will take on Israel’s Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv in a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague game on Friday.

The Istanbul side has recently hit good form in the EuroLeague, winning six of their last seven games.

They are currently ranking seventh with 11 wins and 12 defeats, while the Tel Aviv club is in fifth position with 15-8 win/loss record.

In their first encounter of the season, Maccabi FOX won 67-55 the Round 5 game at the Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv.

The Round 24 game will start at the Ulker Sports Arena in Istanbul at 1745GMT.

Maccabi FOX's American-born Turkish point guard Scottie Wilbekin is expected to visit Istanbul with his team for Friday's game. Wilbekin is the Maccabi FOX top scorer, averaging 16.5 points per game.
