European Parliament allows PKK's terror propaganda during plenary session

BRUSSELS (AA) - European Parliament allowed propaganda to be displayed Wednesday by the PKK terror group during a plenary session.

During an economic session at the EU's general assembly in Strasbourg, France supporters of the PKK terror group, who were in the visitor section, began chanting slogans in favor of its convicted ringleader, Abdullah Ocalan, and unveiled posters of Ocalan.

The moderator and speaker of the session tried to understand what was happening but protesters continued to chant and throw papers at the stage.

No action was taken against the PKK sympathizers despite the chaos and they were not removed from the session.

The moderator eventually suspended the session and ended the live broadcast due to the disruption.

PKK supporters have been known to hold demonstrations in front of the Council of Europe and EU institutions.

In its more than 35-year terror campaign against Türkiye, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and the EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of more than 40,000 people.
