Explosion, gunfire hit Sikh temple in Afghanistan
No report of casualties, immediate claim of responsibility for attack yet

KABUL, Afghanistan (AA) – A Sikh temple in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul was hit by a bomb attack and gunfire Afghan officials said on Saturday.
The attack struck the temple in the Karte Parwan region, said the Interior Ministry of the interim Taliban government.
An operation continues to neutralize the attackers who entered the temple.
According to eyewitnesses, the attack took place during a ceremony at the temple.
Taliban forces have blocked all the streets leading to the temple.
No statement has been made on casualties and there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
Small Sikh and Hindu communities are still living in Kabul. Afghanistan has a population of approximately 35 million, with almost 99.7% of them being Muslim.
