Explosion hits fishing port in southern Turkey

Antalya, TURKEY (AA) – An explosion hit a fishing port in Konyaalti district of the southern province of Antalya on Friday, according to a statement by the governor's office.

"The explosion did not cause any casualties or material damage," the statement said, adding an investigation was launched into the cause.

Police were dispatched to the scene after the incident, while an air-backed operation was launched in the region. Maritime police are also patrolling the area.
