Explosion rocks police building in SE Turkey
Unconfirmed number of people hurt by blast in Mardin's Midyat district
MARDIN, Turkey (AA) - A car-bomb on Tuesday outside a police building in southeastern Turkey has caused an unconfirmed number of casualties.
According to security sources who spoke on condition of anonymity, the PKK is responsible for the blast outside the police department building in Mardin's Midyat district.
The injured have been taken to nearby hospitals.
Footage from the scene shows many buildings heavily damaged by the explosion.
The blast comes one day after seven police officers and four civilians died in a car-bomb attack in central Istanbul.
