Explosions heard in Iranian capital amid reports of new Israeli attacks

ISTANBUL (AA) – Explosions were heard in several areas in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Sunday amid reports of fresh Israeli airstrikes, local media reported.

Videos circulating on social media showed smoke rising from Mehrabad Airport.

There was no immediate comment from Iranian authorities on the report.

Meanwhile, the Iranian government opened mosques, schools, and subway stations for people to shelter due to Israeli attacks on the country.
