Fenerbahce women's basketball team win Turkish title

ANKARA (AA) - Fenerbahce women's basketball team on Tuesday were crowned the 2023 ING Women's Basketball Super League champions in Türkiye.

Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding beat CBK Mersin Yenisehir Belediyesi 82-56 at Istanbul's Metro Enerji Sports Hall to win the final series 3-0, which is the Istanbul club's 17th domestic league title in total.

In the 2023 finals, Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding previously beat CBK Mersin Yenisehir Belediyesi 75-68 and 83-76.

Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding's power forward Satou Sabally was the game's highest scorer with 23 points.

Emma Meesseman racked up 20 points for Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding.

Elizabeth Williams scored 16 points for the visitors to be her team's top scorer. Chelsea Gray added 12 points for CBK Mersin Yenisehir Belediyesi.

Belgian power forward Meesseman was handed the finals' MVP (Most Valuable Player) award.

This month, Fenerbahce Alagoz Holding also won the 2023 FIBA EuroLeague Women after they beat CBK Mersin Yenisehir Belediyesi 99-60 in the all-Turkish final.

So, this season, the Istanbul club did double.
