ISTANBUL (AA) - Floods have killed at least 55 people in Vietnam and Indonesia's Papua, officials said on Tuesday, according to media reports.
Forty people were left dead and six remained missing, while 76 people were injured in recent floods in Vietnam as of Tuesday, according to the Voice of Vietnam.
A total of 104 houses were destroyed or swept away, 453 were damaged, and nearly 80,000 were inundated.
Over 10,800 hectares of crops were also flooded, while more than 68,500 livestock and poultry perished during the floods.
Some 15 people, who remained missing after flash floods in Indonesia's Papua province on Saturday, were found dead, and eight people remained missing on Tuesday, said the National Agency for Disaster Management, according to the local broadcaster Kompas TV.
