Florida pizza delivery woman stabs pregnant customer 14 times over $2 tip

ISTANBUL (AA) - A Florida pizza delivery driver is facing charges of attempted murder and other offenses after allegedly stabbing a pregnant customer multiple times over a $2 tip, according to authorities.

Court documents revealed that Brianna Alvelo, 22, is accused of returning to a motel in Kissimmee on Sunday night, where she assaulted a woman after a dispute over the change for a pizza order.

The couple had ordered a $33 Marco's pizza, paying with a $50 bill. When Alvelo couldn't provide change, the woman gave her a $2 tip.

Later, the woman heard loud knocking on the door, and two masked individuals forced their way in. One man brandished a revolver and ordered the woman's boyfriend into the bathroom, while the other, believed to be Alvelo, attacked the woman with a knife.

The woman tried to shield her child as Alvelo allegedly searched her purse and broke her daughter’s Nintendo Switch. Alvelo then struck her victim multiple times with the knife, leaving 14 stab wounds to her chest, arms, legs and abdomen.

The woman discovered she was pregnant while being treated for the injuries.

Security footage from the motel corroborated the woman's account, showing a red Toyota Camry, linked to Alvelo, parked near the scene both before and after the attack. A manager at Marco's Pizza confirmed that Alvelo was working that night and drove the red Toyota.

Alvelo is being held at the Osceola County Jail on a $55,000 bond, with prosecutors requesting she be held without bond during her initial court appearance due to the severity of the charges, claiming the incident was a "punishable by life offense." No attorney was listed for her.

Authorities continue to investigate, as the man believed to have been with Alvelo has not yet been identified.
