France dissolves institute training imams, religious leaders

ISTANBUL (AA) - France on Wednesday dissolved the European Institute of Human Sciences (IESH), which has also been training imams and religious leaders.

"The fight against the infiltration of the Muslim Brotherhood movement continues. Today, at my request, the European Institute of Human Sciences was dissolved by the Council of Ministers. It promoted radical Islam and justified armed jihad," Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau announced on the US social media company X.

IESH has been training religious leaders capable of teaching and preaching, both in Arabic and in their mother tongue, since 1990.
