French army targets ISIS terrorist group positions in Syria: Defense minister
Sebastien Lecornu recalls French army has contributed to int'l coalition 'Operation Inherent Resolve' since 2014 in Iraq, 2015 in Syria

The French army targeted Daesh/ISIS terrorist group positions in Syria over the weekend, the country's defense minister said on Tuesday.
“Our armies remain engaged in the fight against terrorism in the Levant,” Sebastien Lecornu wrote on X.
He recalled that the French army has contributed to the international coalition, Operation Inherent Resolve, since 2014 in Iraq and 2015 in Syria.
“On Sunday, French aerial means proceeded to strikes against Daech positions on Syrian soil,” Lecornu said.
