HAMILTON, Canada (AA) - Gay couple in Georgia were sentenced to "100 years in prison followed by life on probation" over sexually abusing their adopted sons.
Zachary and William Zulock "truly created a house of horrors and put their extremely dark desires above everything and everyone else," District Attorney Randy McGinley said in a statement.
McGinley announced in the statement that the two offenders were sentenced to "100 years in prison followed by life on probation. Because of the nature of the offenses, the Defendants will not be eligible for parole for the entire 100 years."
"Those involved with the investigation and prosecution of this case will never forget what they had to see and hear in this case," McGinley said.
Zulocks were arrested in Walton County, Georgia in 2022 following a cyber tip regarding "homemade child sexual abuse material" at Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit.
The tip initiated to an investigation that led to "Hunter Lawless who admitted to receiving and viewing" child sexual abuse material.
According to the statement, Lawless said he received material from Zachary Zulock.
He was also sentenced to "20 years with the first 12 years in prison and agreed to fully cooperate in any prosecution of the Zulocks."
After a search warrant to Zulocks home, McGinley said: "They both admitted to sexually abusing both boys over a period of time."
