Germany: Eritrean seriously injured in racist attack

BERLIN (AA) - A 26-year-old Eritrean was shot and seriously injured in a racist attack in the central German town of Waechtersbach, officials said on Tuesday.

The suspected shooter, a 56-year-old German citizen, shot at the Eritrean man from his car before killing himself, a spokesman for the Frankfurt Prosecutor's Office told local media.

Police found several arms, including two semiautomatic weapons, during searches of the car and apartment of the suspected shooter, whose name has not been released.
