Germany's export prices down 1.1% in May
Largest downward contribution in May comes from energy

ISTANBUL (AA) - Import prices fell 1.1% in Germany in May on a yearly basis, statistical authority Destatis announced on Monday.
"The decrease in energy prices compared with May 2024, at -14.6%, had the biggest impact on the overall development of import prices in May," Destatis said.
The import prices of intermediate goods were 1% lower than in the same month of the previous year.
The prices of imported consumer goods (durable and non-durable) were 2.7% higher than a year earlier.
On a monthly basis, import prices posted another decline of 0.7% in May.
Meanwhile, export prices in Germany rose 1% year-on-year in May while they were unchanged on a monthly basis.
