Lautaro Martinez scores winning goal with header in 1st half

ANKARA (AA) - Inter Milan beat AC Milan 1-0 Sunday in a derby in the Italian top-tier Serie A.

Inter's Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez scored the winning goal with a header in the 34th minute of the Milan derby at Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.

He was assisted by Turkish midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu, who whipped a corner to find Martinez.

Martinez scored another goal near the end of the match, but after a video assistant referee (VAR) check, it was ruled offside.

Second-place Inter secured the derby win to have 43 points in 21 matches.

AC Milan are in sixth spot with 38 points.

Leaders Napoli have collected 56 points after they beat Spezia 3-0 earlier Sunday.
