ISTANBUL (AA) - The Iranian navy has dispatched its 41st flotilla to the Gulf of Aden with the stated aim of providing security for Iranian commercial vessels.
According to Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency, the flotilla -- comprised of one destroyer and a logistical support warship -- set out from the country’s southern coast Wednesday.
On the same day, Iran’s 40th naval flotilla returned to Iran after nearly two months at sea.
