Iran’s top diplomat meets Egyptian president to discuss bilateral ties, regional situation
Abbas Araghchi's visit to Egypt will be followed by trip to Lebanon on Tuesday

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Cairo on Monday to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
According to Iran’s state news agency IRNA, the meeting took place during Araghchi's official visit to Egypt, which will be followed by a trip to Lebanon on Tuesday.
During his visit to Cairo, which started on Sunday, Araghchi also held talks with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, focusing on bilateral relations and regional developments.
No official statement has been released yet by the Egyptian presidency about the content of the meeting between Sisi and Araghchi.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei told reporters on Saturday that Araghchi's visits to Egypt and Lebanon aim to discuss bilateral relations and consult on regional developments, especially the situation in the Palestinian territories, as well as international developments.
