Israel claims rocket launches from Gaza amid raging genocidal war
Military says one projectile intercepted, another landed in open area as Gaza reels under siege and bombardment
By Ikram Kouachi
The Israeli army claimed on Sunday that two projectiles were launched from the Gaza Strip toward southern Israel, saying one was intercepted, while the other landed in an open area.
In a statement, the army said the launches came from central Gaza and triggered alerts in the city of Netivot and surrounding areas. No casualties were reported.
The Israeli genocidal war in Gaza marked day 700 on Friday, with Israel having killed more than 64,300 Palestinians. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
