Israel kills 4 Palestinians, including family of 3, in Gaza strikes: Local sources

GAZA CITY, Palestine/ANKARA (AA) - The Israeli army killed four Palestinians, including a family of three, in a series of air and artillery strikes across the Gaza Strip on Friday, local medical sources and eyewitnesses told Anadolu.

The deadliest strike occurred in central Gaza where an Israeli warplane targeted a family home in eastern Nuseirat refugee camp.

Medical sources confirmed the deaths of the father, mother, and their baby, as well as six injuries in the same strike.

An Israeli helicopter also bombed an apartment in the town of Al-Zawaida, injuring several civilians, witnesses said.

In northern Gaza, one Palestinian was killed and others were injured after a residential apartment in Gaza City’s Al-Rimal neighborhood was struck.

Israeli naval forces also shelled the coastline of Gaza City, though no casualties were reported.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army continued to demolish residential buildings in eastern Gaza City, witnesses added.

Nearly 52,800 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in a brutal Israeli onslaught since October 2023, most of them women and children.

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
