Israeli army kills 16 more Palestinians across Gaza Strip

ISTANBUL (AA)—At least 16 more Palestinians were killed and scores of others injured, with several still trapped under the rubble of collapsed buildings as the Israeli army continued to attack different parts of the Gaza Strip on Thursday, local media reported.

The state news agency Wafa said that the Israeli army shelled a house in the Al-Zawayda town of the central Gaza Strip, killing 11 people and injuring many others. Several civilians are still trapped under the rubble.

In Khan Younis, four people were killed and several others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a house near the Jordanian Field Hospital.

Another Palestinian lost his life to an Israeli drone strike in Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis.

Several Palestinians were injured when the Israeli army struck houses in Gaza City’s Al-Tuffah neighborhood and Nuseirat refugee camp.

The Israeli army has killed more than 65,400 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in Gaza since October 2023. The relentless bombardment has rendered the enclave uninhabitable and led to starvation and the spread of diseases.
