Israeli Police hunt down anyone filming locations struck by Iran

ISTANBUL (AA) – Israeli police are hunting down anyone filming locations struck by Iranian missiles, far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said on Monday.
“Broadcasts that show exactly where the missiles land on the State of Israel are a danger to the security of the state and I expect that anyone who does this will be treated as someone who harms the security of the state,” he said in statements carried by The Times of Israel news outlet.
According to the same source, Ben-Gvir instructed the Shin Bet domestic security agency and police to crack down on foreign media outlets and civilians who allegedly express joy over Iranian missile attacks.
The extremist minister said there would be “zero tolerance” for anyone celebrating or expressing joy over the Iranian attacks.
“Police have arrested quite a few people” he said, without giving an exact figure.
Ben-Gvir added that prison guards have cracked down on inmates who express joy over the Iranian strikes.
Regional tensions have escalated since Friday, when Israel launched coordinated airstrikes on multiple sites across Iran, including military and nuclear facilities, prompting Tehran to launch retaliatory strikes.
Israeli authorities said that at least 24 people have been killed and hundreds injured in Iranian missile attacks since Friday.
Iran, for its part, said that at least 224 people have been killed and over 1,000 others wounded in the Israeli assault.
