JERUSALEM (AA) - Israeli settlers damaged Palestinian agricultural land in Hebron governorate in the occupied West Bank on Thursday using chemical substances, according to Palestinian sources.
The settlers poured chemicals onto wheat and barley fields in the Yatta area south of Hebron, Palestine’s official news agency WAFA reported.
The report said the attack targeted more than eight dunams (1.97 acres) of land owned by Palestinian farmer Ali Mohammed Shenaran, destroying the crops.
Separately, armed Israeli settlers reportedly attacked Palestinian homes in the Ras al-Ayn area of Nablus.
WAFA said Palestinian homes in the area were sprayed with live ammunition. No injuries were immediately reported.
Since Israel launched its assault on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, there has been a sharp rise in raids, arrests and attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
According to data from official Palestinian institutions, Israeli settlers carried out 4,723 attacks against Palestinians and their property across the West Bank in 2025 alone. At least 14 Palestinians were killed in those attacks.
