Juventus defender Demiral out for 20 days due to injury

23-year-old defender played 23 matches for Juventus this season

ANKARA (AA) - Juventus Turkish centre-back Merih Demiral will be out for approximately 20 days.

Juventus Thursday said that Demiral was diagnosed "with a low-grade lesion of the rectus femoris muscle of the right thigh" after radiological examinations following the latest Champions League match against Porto.

"His recovery time will be approximately 20 days," the Serie A club added.

Demiral is now questionable to play at Turkey's 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against the Netherlands, Norway and Latvia, which will take place on March 24, March 27 and March 30, respectively.

The 23-year-old defender played 23 matches for Juventus this season.
