Juventus stunned by Benevento 1-0 at home

ANKARA (AA) - Juventus had a shocking home loss by underdogs Benevento 1-0 in a Sunday Italian Serie A league match.

Argentine forward Adolfo Gaich scored the winning goal for Benevento in the 69th minute at the Allianz Stadium, Turin.

Gaich intercepted Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo's inaccurate pass to put the ball into the Juventus net in the area.

The 1-0 victory for Benevento meant a big blow on Juventus on their road to the Italian league title.

Juventus, who won the league nine years in a row, fell ten points behind leaders Inter Milan.

Both played 27 matches, Inter Milan are now on top of the Serie A with 65 points, Juve in the third spot with 55 points.

Benevento had a big boost in their Serie A survival cause, increased their points to 29.
