ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish prefabricated building company Karmod said on Friday that it increased its daily water storage tank production capacity to 750,000 liters with the commissioning of a new factory.

Karmod has brought a new 20,000-square-meter production facility into operation in the Orhanli Industrial Zone of Tuzla district in Istanbul for its composite and plastic products group.

Karmod Plastic Group General Manager Talay Ozturk said the company has expanded its production capacity by deploying fully automated, next-generation machinery at the new facility.

He said the company reached a daily production capacity of 750,000 liters for water storage tanks across three different raw material groups.

“We produce water storage tanks in three categories: polyethylene, stainless steel, and polyester. Our liquid tanks, primarily for water storage, offer dozens of product options ranging from 100 liters to 100,000 liters in single-body designs,” he added.

Ozturk said Karmod Group’s fifth factory has a total area of 20,000 square meters, including 10,000 square meters of indoor space and 10,000 square meters of outdoor space.

The facility is also supported by fully automated, advanced-technology machines that have lifted daily tank production capacity to 750,000 liters, he added.

Ozturk highlighted the company’s broad product portfolio. “In addition to liquid storage tanks, we offer a wide range of products serving diverse customer segments, including mobile toilets and water slides for the leisure sector,” he said.

“Our portfolio also includes caravan toilets, fuel tanks, firefighting water tanks, bilge tanks for ships, silo tanks, rubble chutes used for construction waste removal, calf hutches, and AdBlue tanks.”
