Karmod completes steel house project in Germany, aiming to become Europe's top brand
Steel house was prefabricated at company facilities in Istanbul’s Tuzla district
ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's building company Karmod has completed a steel house project in Mannheim city of Germany, adhering to the country's construction regulations, it said in a statement on Wednesday.
In addition to a total space of 152 square meters across two floors, with a 72 square meter base, Mannheim's steel construction houses also have an attic accessible by a foldable ladder.
"We prepared architectural design, structural calculations, and mechanical installation projects in line with German and European standards,” said Karmod chairman Mehmet Cankaya.
He said the house was prefabricated using 12 tons of steel at the company facilities in Istanbul’s Tuzla district.

“Karmod achieved sustainable momentum with the steel house projects across Europe over the past year,” Cankaya said.
He said that in addition to Germany, they have completed steel construction house projects in France, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria, and Greece.
"We are progressing towards becoming a renowned brand for steel houses in Europe,” he said, highlighting that Europe is known to be a region of standards, and “these standards are crucial in housing.”
