Kazakhstan, US pledge to strengthen strategic ties, technology, business cooperation

ISTANBUL (AA) – Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtileu met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington, DC, during an official visit, where the two discussed strengthening the Enhanced Strategic Partnership between the countries, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
During their talks, Rubio reaffirmed US support for Kazakhstan’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Both sides discussed ways to deepen bilateral trade and investment ties while highlighting the need for a reliable infrastructure and a favorable regulatory environment for American companies.
The ministers also emphasized expanding cooperation in advanced technologies and enhancing business connections.
“Kazakhstan intends to achieve concrete results to promote a mutually beneficial partnership with the United States,” Nurtileu said.
He further underlined Kazakhstan’s strategic role in maintaining stable supply chains for energy resources and critical minerals.
A separate statement from US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said Washington will continue working with Kazakhstan to expand security partnerships, promote regional integration via the C5+1 platform, and explore new commercial opportunities in technology and critical minerals.
