Kuwait, Jordan report new coronavirus cases
Coronavirus death toll surpasses 6,500 with more than 164,000 cases confirmed worldwide, according to WHO

ISTANBUL (AA) - Authorities in Kuwait and Jordan on Monday reported new cases of novel coronavirus.
In a press conference, a spokesman for Kuwait's Health Ministry said another 11 people were infected with the virus, taking the total infections in the Gulf state to 123.
Jordan also confirmed three new infections in the country, bringing the total infections in the Arab state to 15, country’s official news agency Petra quoted health sources as saying.
The new cases include two Jordanian citizens who recently visited Spain.
The novel coronavirus which causes the disease known as COVID-19 emerged in Wuhan, China last December, and has spread to at least 146 countries and territories.
The global death toll now numbers around 6,500, with more than 164,000 confirmed cases, according to the World Health Organization which declared the outbreak a pandemic.
