Kyrgyz, Mongolian leaders vow to boost ties
Leadership discusses potential joint projects in agriculture, mining, transport, ecology, humanitarian fields

ISTANBUL (AA) – Kyrgyz Cabinet Chairman Adylbek Kasymaliev on Monday met Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh during his state visit to Kyrgyzstan, with both sides pledging to deepen cooperation in various fields.
Kasymaliev said the visit marked a new stage in friendly relations, describing the partnership as “close and dynamic.”
He said trade between the two countries grew to $10.2 million in 2024, almost 2.5 times more than in 2023.
Khurelsukh thanked Kyrgyz officials for their hospitality and said the two nations share historical and cultural ties. He voiced confidence that new agreements would strengthen cooperation.
“We give special attention to boosting trade and cultural exchanges, and to closer ties between our business communities,” he said.
The two sides discussed potential joint projects in agriculture, mining, transport, ecology, and humanitarian fields. They also underlined the role of the Kyrgyz-Mongolian Intergovernmental Commission in supporting bilateral work.
