Reporter Nezir Aliyev receives certificate of appreciation in Bishkek on behalf of Turkey's official news agency
BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan (AA) - Kyrgyzstan on Monday awarded Turkey's official news portal Anadolu Agency with a certificate of appreciation for its "constructive" contributions to the bilateral ties.
Chief of staff to the president Almaz Usenov delivered the certificate to Anadolu Agency reporter Nezir Aliyev during a ceremony commemorating Information and Press Day in the capital Bishkek.
Kyrgyzstan Prime Minister Sapar Isakov also congratulated journalists, saying: "The Kyrgyz government appreciates the efforts of journalists who openly address countries' problems."
Isakov said Kyrgyzstan was "always" open to dialogue and collaborative work.
Reading the congratulatory message from President Almazbek Atambayev, Isakov said information had turned into a "powerful" force that can affect the behavior and decision-making of a person, a society or a state.
