Reds climb to 6th spot to collect 25 points in Premier League week 17

ISTANBUL (AA) - Liverpool on Monday claimed a 3-1 victory over Aston Villa on matchday 17 of the English Premier League.

Playing at Villa Park, Mohamed Salah broke the deadlock in the fifth minute while Virgil van Dijk scored another goal for the Reds in the 37th minute.

Aston Villa narrowed the gap to one with a goal from Ollie Watkins in the 58th minute, and Stefan Bajcetic produced Liverpool's third goal as the game ended with a 3-1 win in favor of Liverpool.

Stefan Bajcetic, 18, who came off the bench in the 79th minute, netted his first senior goal for Liverpool.

The Reds jumped to the sixth spot with 25 points and Aston Villa stayed in 12th place with 18 points.
