Yellow Canaries announce Brazilian midfielder agreed terms with Saudi Arabian club in principle

ANKARA (AA) - Fenerbahce on Sunday announced that Luiz Gustavo will leave Fenerbahce to join Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr.

In an official statement on their website, the Yellow Canaries said: "Luiz Gustavo, one of our Professional Football Team-A players, has reached an agreement in principle with the Al Nassr club."

The departure of the 35-year-old midfielder was hinted by the social media post of his son Milan Marx Dias on Wednesday. Now deleted, the post included Turkish and Fenerbahce flags in a big heart shape, with "sad" and "bye" notes attached.

Luiz Gustavo, who previously played for Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg, and Hoffenheim, joined Fenerbahce in 2019, from the French team Olympique Marseille.

He scored five goals and made three assists in 97 games for the Istanbul team.

The former Brazilian international scored two goals in his 40 caps.
