Mario Balotelli moves to FC Sion from Adana Demirspor

Swiss football club to pay Turkish team over $2.5 million for transfer of Italian forward

ISTANBUL (AA) - Swiss football club FC Sion have agreed to sign Mario Balotelli from Adana Demirspor, the Turkish football side confirmed on Wednesday.

In a statement, Adana Demirspor said FC Sion would pay a €2.63 million ($2.62 million) transfer fee.

The former Inter Milan and Manchester City forward joined Adana Demirspor from Italy's Monza last July.

In 35 matches for the Turkish club, he scored 19 goals and seven assists.

Helping Inter win the UEFA Champions League in 2010, Balotelli was a three-time Italian champion with them (2008, 2019, and 2010).

The 32-year-old Italian also helped Manchester City win the 2012 English Premier League title.
