Miami beat Dallas to win 5th NBA game in a row

ANKARA (AA) - The Miami Heat have toppled the Dallas Mavericks 125-110 to bag five straight wins in the 2021-22 NBA season.

Heat had a historic Tuesday night in Dallas' American Airlines Center, it being the first time that four Miami players scored at least 22 points in a single game -- a franchise record.

Bam Adebayo led Heat to an away victory with a double-double, scoring 22 points and making 13 rebounds.

Heat point guard Tyler Herro was his team's highest scorer with 25 points, while Jimmy Butler scored 23 and Kyle Lowry 22.

Lowry also produced nine assists.

Dallas star Luka Doncic racked up 33 points to be the top scorer of the game.

His teammate, Jalen Brunson, tallied 25 points and seven rebounds but the Mavericks were unable to prevent the loss.

The Heat thus topped the Eastern Conference standings with six wins and a single loss.

Meanwhile, the Mavericks are currently in the fourth spot in the Western Conference, having with a four wins and three losses.

- Lacking COVID-19 testing, Dallas' Burke to sit out

Trey Burke, a guard for the Mavericks, did not play in the game against the Heat in Dallas for missing the coronavirus testing window.

Burke, 28, who is still unvaccinated, was ruled out for lacking a PCR test for the NBA's unvaccinated players.

This was the second time this season that he missed his COVID-19 testing window.

However the Mavericks' coach, Jason Kidd, said Burke would travel with the team for their upcoming game against the San Antonio Spurs at the AT&T Center on Wednesday.

"For us as the Mavs, we can only talk (to Burke) about it," Kidd said.

"He has the responsibility to show up on time," the 48-year-old added.
