Mongolian president arrives in Kyrgyzstan for 4-day state visit
Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh to meet counterpart Sadyr Japarov as sides set to sign documents to expand bilateral cooperation, says Kyrgyz presidency

ISTANBUL (AA) - Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh arrived in Kyrgyzstan on Sunday for a four-day state visit expected to deepen bilateral cooperation between the two Central Asian countries.
Khurelsukh landed at Manas International Airport near the capital Bishkek, where he was welcomed by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, the Kyrgyz presidency said in a statement.
The visit, scheduled to run until Wednesday, will include multiple high-level meetings, including talks between the two presidents, according to Sagynbek Abdumutalip, head of the presidency’s foreign policy department.
Khurelsukh is also expected to meet Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, the speaker of Kyrgyzstan’s parliament, and Adylbek Kasymaliev, who chairs the Cabinet, the statement said.
A package of documents aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation is expected to be signed during the visit, the Kyrgyz presidency said.
A Kyrgyz-Mongolian business forum and other events are also planned.
On Wednesday, Khurelsukh is scheduled to proceed to Tajikistan in the first official visit by a Mongolian president to the country since diplomatic relations were established in 1992.
