ISTANBUL (AA) - More than 100,000 Israelis are stranded abroad after Israel closed its airspace, as authorities brace for possible Iranian retaliation because of airstrikes, Hebrew Channel 12 reported Saturday,

The broadcaster said the Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv is closed to civilian traffic until further notice, with all inbound and outbound flights suspended.

It added that land crossings remain the only option available to return to Israel.

The National Security Council has also warned of possible retaliatory attacks against Israeli targets in several countries, after Washington and Tel Aviv launched attacks against Iran early Saturday.
