ANKARA (AA) - Turkish security forces killed 26 PKK terrorists during operations in Turkey's southeastern Diyarbakir, Tunceli, Bitlis, eastern Siirt and Mus provinces, and northern Iraq last week, according to the military Friday.

In a weekly briefing note, the Turkish General Staff said there were four senior members of the PKK terror group among those killed between Nov. 17 and Nov. 23.

During the operations, 32 infantry rifles, an anti-aircraft machine gun, a shotgun, 19 guns, four rocket launchers and five machine guns were seized.

A total of 30 improvised explosives were also destroyed while a weapon emplacement, terror shelter, and a depot were also destroyed.

Since the group resumed its armed campaign in July 2015, more than 1,200 people, including security force personnel and civilians, have lost their lives.
