Morocco arrests 3 Daesh/ISIS suspects

RABAT, Morocco (AA) – Morocco said Wednesday three people were arrested for suspected links with the Daesh/ISIS terrorist group.

A statement by the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) said the three were arrested for involvement in the murder of a policeman in the district of Errahma in Casablanca.

The statement said the three had pledged allegiance to the DaeshISIS terrorist group and plotted terror projects to undermine Morocco’s security.

No information, however, was provided about when the policeman was killed.

According to Moroccan authorities, nearly 200 terrorist cells had been dismantled in the North African country since 2003.
