Most Asian stock markets close Monday in red

ISTANBUL (AA) – All major Asian indexes closed Monday with declines, as Singapore's index posted the biggest drop.

The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip companies in the region, fell 0.24% to 3,299.92 points as of 1141GMT.

Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 decreased 0.11% to 27,423.96 points.

The Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong stock exchange, dropped 0.33% to 19,943.51.

China’s Shanghai Stock Exchange fell 0.28% to 3,258.03.​​​​​​​

India’s Sensex benchmark was down 0.3% to close at 59,288.35, while the Singapore index dropped 0.58% to 3,263.24 for the biggest fall among the major Asian indexes.
