Netanyahu to convene Security Cabinet in secret underground bunker: Channel 13

JERUSALEM (AA) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will convene a meeting of his Security Cabinet on Saturday evening in a secret underground bunker to discuss the ongoing confrontation with Iran, Channel 13 reported, citing official sources.

Some ministers and members of the Israeli political leadership have been sleeping in secret underground locations since Friday, in anticipation of possible Iranian missile strikes, the broadcaster said.

Iran is expected to resume its missile barrages Saturday evening, as part of its military response to the Israeli assault that began at dawn on Friday, Israeli Army Radio reported earlier.

Israel launched a series of strikes against Iranian territory, targeting nuclear and missile facilities early Friday, killing senior military figures and scientists.

The wave of attacks has continued and resulted in the deaths of at least 78 people with 320 others injured, according to figures earlier announced by Iran's UN envoy. Tehran's retaliatory attacks began Friday night.
