Nevruz festivities start in Azerbaijan
Residents of Baku celebrate spring festival at Temple of Fire Worshippers

MOSCOW (AA) - Events dedicated to the Nevruz holiday to celebrate the arrival of spring started in Azerbaijan on Friday.
This year, the opening ceremony was held at the Temple of Fire Worshippers in capital Baku's Surakhany district.
Musicians and dancers who arrived from different regions of the country performed at the temple.
Baku residents welcomed Nevruz with a festive bonfire and traditional dishes.
Due to Nevruz, March 20-27 has been declared holiday season in Azerbaijan.
