North Macedonia marks Turkish Language Day
Right of education in mother tongue is very important for development of community, says president
SKOPJE, North Macedonia (AA) - North Macedonia’s President Stevo Pendarovski congratulated the Turkish community in the country on the occasion of Turkish Language Day.
Pendarovski said that the right of education in the mother tongue is very important for the development of a community.
He said the Turkish community contributed to the country with its rich tradition and culture.
Turkish Paliament Speaker Mustafa Sentop on Saturday attended a symposium in Skopje to mark the day.
Dec. 21 is marked as Turkish Language Day in North Macedonia since 2007.
