OECD inflation falls to 3.7% in December 2025

ISTANBUL (AA) - Annual inflation rate in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) area in December 2025 decreased to 3.7%, from 3.8% in November.

Headline inflation declined in 13 OECD countries, rose in nine, and remained stable in 16, the OECD said on Monday.

Food inflation and core inflation in the OECD showed little change, while energy inflation fell.

Year-on-year headline inflation in the G7 area was broadly stable at 2.4% in December 2025, after 2.5% in November.

In the euro area, year-on-year headline inflation fell to 1.9% in December 2025, down from 2.1% in November, and energy inflation declined further to minus 1.9%.

In the G20, year-on-year headline inflation remained stable at 3.6% in December.
