Oman army chief meets UK, S. Korean military officials

MUSCAT (AA) – Omani Army Chief-of-Staff Ahmed bin Harith al-Nabhani on Monday held separate meetings with British and South Korean military officials, according to the Oman News Agency (ONA).

A meeting between al-Nabhani and John Lorimer, the U.K.’s senior defense advisor for the Middle East, tackled “a range of issues, including mechanisms for stepped-up military cooperation between the two friendly countries”, ONA reported without elaborating.

Later the same day, al-Nabhani met with Boo Suk-jong, South Korea’s chief director of military support, with whom he discussed “a number of issues of common concern”, according to the news agency.

Anadolu Agency was unable to obtain immediate comment from either London or Seoul regarding either of Monday’s meetings.
