Oman’s sultan arrives in Russian capital Moscow on official visit

ISTANBUL (AA) - Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman arrived Monday in Moscow on an official visit, according to Russian state media.

The Russian state news agency RIA reported his arrival at Moscow’s Vnukovo International Airport.

He is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.

“Main aspects of further development of the cooperation between Russia and Oman will be discussed, including trade and economy, finance and investment, and culture and humanitarian affairs,” said a Kremlin statement on Saturday.

The Kremlin also noted that “the two leaders will also discuss some current international and regional issues” without providing further details.
