Oracle to invest $2B in AI, cloud infrastructure in Germany

Company’s cloud infrastructure to be expanded in Frankfurt region; AI application capacity to significantly increase

BERLIN (AA) - Oracle announced it will invest $2 billion in artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure in Germany over the next five years.

The US technology company announced Tuesday that the investment aims to meet the growing demand for AI applications and cloud infrastructure.

Oracle's cloud infrastructure will be expanded in the Frankfurt region, and its AI application capacity will be significantly increased.

Meanwhile, the world's largest technology companies, including Amazon AWS, Google and Microsoft have previously announced that they will invest in data centers in Germany.

In parallel with the investment decisions of major US technology companies, discussions on “digital sovereignty” continue in Germany.

Meanwhile, Oracle, headquartered in the US state of Texas, will also invest $1 billion in the Netherlands.
