Over 1,300 historical artifacts seized in Turkey
Many coins, historical objects seized during raid in Yozgat province

YOZGAT, Turkey (AA) - A total of 1,306 historical artifacts were seized in an operation in central Turkey, a security source said on Tuesday.
Gendarmerie teams fighting organized crime raided the workplace of a suspect, who was trying to sell the artifacts, in the Sarikaya district of Yozgat province, said the security source on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
Some 641 coins, 656 objects and nine arrowheads as well as 15 dowsing rods, three blank firing guns and excavation equipment, were confiscated in the workplace.
The suspect was also arrested in the raid.
