Pakistan: Deaths of 2 Chinese '99 percent' confirmed

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AA) - A high Pakistani government official said on Tuesday the video released by Daesh terrorists purporting to show the killing of two Chinese nationals kidnapped last month in the southwestern Balochistan province confirmed "99 percent that both were killed.
Addressing a news conference in Quetta, Balochistan Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti said the vehicle used by the Chinese couple, had been recovered, adding efforts are underway to recover the bodies.
"The video released by terrorists group shows that both Chinese have been killed but the dead bodies have not yet been recovered," Bugti told the reporters.
The Chinese nationals, Lee Zing Yang, 24 and Meng Li Si, 26, were kidnapped by gunmen dressed as police on May 24 in Quetta
Daesh militants group released a video on June 8, claiming responsibility for the kidnapping and apparently showing the murder of the couple.
Bugti said however there was no "organized presence" of the Daesh group in Balochistan.
Pakistan's Interior Ministry on Monday said the Chinese preachers were issued visas by the Embassy in Beijing.
