Pakistan, UAE sign MoUs to boost business, cultural exchanges

ISTANBUL (AA) – Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed on Monday memorandums of understanding (MoUs) aimed at boosting business and cultural exchanges, according to statements from foreign ministries of the two countries.
Following delegation-level talks between Pakistan and the UAE, headed by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Islamabad, the two sides signed memorandums on cultural cooperation and the establishment of a Joint Committee for Consular Affairs.
They also witnessed the exchange of a MoU on the establishment of the UAE-Pakistan Joint Business Council.
Dar and Sheikh Abdullah discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in all fields.
"These documents are aimed at further strengthening the bonds between the people as well as business people of the two countries," Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said.
The UAE minister also met with Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other officials later in the day.
