Pakistani youth pay visit to Anadolu Agency

Anadolu Agency to increase its ties with Pakistani media through Islamabad Office, says agency's deputy director

ISTANBUL (AA) - Pakistan's National Youth Assembly paid a visit on Monday to Anadolu Agency's office in Istanbul.

The agency plans to increase ties with Pakistani media through its recent office in Islamabad and cover news on the subcontinent from sources in 13 languages, said Anadolu Agency’s Deputy Director General Mustafa Ozkaya.

As part of a program organized by Pakistan’s Consulate General in Istanbul on April 14-19, National Youth Assembly President Hanan Ali Abbasi and its 11 members visited Anadolu Agency.

The purpose of the program is to exchange information on the activities of both organizations and to consult on communication and education between young people.

Anadolu Agency formally inaugurated its Islamabad office last month as part of efforts to expand its global reach.

Founded in 1920, Anadolu Agency is a well-established global news agency with operations in most major regions of the world, including the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Asia-Pacific, and serves subscribers in more than 100 countries.

For its subscribers, the agency produces news stories in 13 languages: Turkish, English, Arabic, BHS (Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian), Russian, Kurmanji, Sorani, Persian, French, Albanian, Macedonian, Indonesian and Spanish.

The National Youth Assembly is the first leading youth institution of Pakistan which began official operation in 1984.

It enjoys formal recognition from 30 leading universities and 59 governmental district administrations in the country.
